Never Giving Up: DFP wins the UK-wide final of ACORD AIIC

After becoming first runner-up in 2017, Digital Fineprint (DFP) has just won the UK final for the Acord Insurance Innovation Competition, celebrating the best and brightest innovations in the insurance industry. The technology for helping small businesses find the right protection using machine learning and open data struck a chord with the judges who saw it as a scalable solution.

Erik Abrahamsson, Founder & CEO of Digital Fineprint, shared his reasons for applying for and ultimately winning the award: “We faced some amazing companies in the final, both last year and this year. But one of our key values as a company is “Grit” and we never, ever give up. So coming back a year later and winning the final feels absolutely amazing. Everyone pulled together and built this amazing company, this is all a testament to the continued strength of our growing team.”

ACORD, a leading industry organisation in the insurance sector, has invested in the ACORD AIIC as a way of finding the next breakthrough innovations in the insurance industry. As part of the award, Digital Fineprint will now exhibit at the global ACORD Connect gathering in New Orleans in October.

Anna Kurman, Marketing Manager at DFP who submitted the winning award application, added that ”all of us are thrilled and honoured to have been named the winners of the UK final of the Accord Challenge. Winning the competition on the global scale will help us to enter new markets and scale up internationally. For now, we will be celebrating the achievement with the bottle of Champagne!”
